RwandAir lands Canadian sales representation

AirlinePros has been appointed general sales and marketing agent for Rwanda’s flagship carrier RwandAir in Canada.

“With a growing state-of-the-art fleet and international route network, RwandAir is one of Africa’s most dynamic airlines,” commented AirlinePros Canada Director Karl Müller.

“Rwanda has emerged as a top destination in Africa, and welcomes an increasing number of Canadian visitors for specialized leisure activities on offer. Given its annual economic expansion, Rwanda has also attracted specific segments of Canadian business interests over the past few years.

"RwandAir’s route network provides excellent intermediate connectivity for flights originating from Canada. In addition, travelers can enjoy RwandAir’s top-notch service.”

RwandAir is committed to improve connections on the African continent, creating new opportunities for economic exchange, trade, and tourism between countries, with the objective of fostering economic development. RwandAir earned the Africa Travel Award for Best African Airline (short haul).

Headquartered at Kigali International Airport, RwandAir operates one of the youngest fleets on the African continent. RwandAir is an IATA member airline, renewed its IOSA certification, and has been ISAGO and EASA certified. With a fleet of twelve aircraft including two wide-body Airbus A330 acquired last year, RwandAir’s current route network spans 26 destinations across East, Central, West and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Earlier this year, RwandAir launched flights to Mumbai, Harare, London (Gatwick), and Brussels. RwandAir introduced flights to Abidjan, Libreville and Brazzaville from its new hub in Cotonou, and will start operations to Bamako, Conakry, and Dakar from the same hub, commencing in October this year. Later this year, the airline’s ever growing network will expand to Guangzhou, and in 2018, RwandAir plans to make a debut on the U.S. market, offering flight service to New York.
